Dear Parishioners,
My name is Gada Shaia. My family and I have been members of The Church St. John & St. Mary for almost 20 years. I will be serving as this year’s President of the Women’s Association. I am humbled to be part of this wonderful organization.
We hope to have you all participate in our events for this upcoming year. These include our opening dinner, Christmas Fair, Fish Fry, and Spring Carnival. 2022 will be an important year for our church, as we are celebrating our 100th year in Chappaqua. We plan to have a Centennial Sunday Mass, a Gala, and a mass celebrated by his Excellency, Cardinal Dolan. I would love to have your help, feedback, and ideas to help make this centennial celebration something we will all be proud of.
The Women’s Association helps raise funds for the church. We are blessed to be celebrating our 60th year anniversary this year. One hundred percent of the money that is raised funds church programs. We have several annual fundraising mechanisms. The first is Benefactors, Patrons, and Sponsors (BPS), which is a channel for church donations. The second is our Christmas Fair, and the third is our Spring Festival. The money we raise helps fund our CCD program, our youth programs, scholarships for our graduating seniors, financial aid for our parish families, and the operating expenses for the church. If you are an adult woman and a member of our Parish, we encourage you to join the Women’s Association. Your time commitment will be at your discretion. Below, you will find important dates to put on your calendar. As we proceed through the year, we will keep you abreast of more possible events.
