Lectors
Lectors are commissioned by the Archdiocese of New York to proclaim the Scripture prescribed for the Liturgy of the day. Lectors usually read the First and Second Scripture Readings from the Old and New Testament, while a Priest or Deacon reads the Gospel. Lectors also read the Parish announcements.
Each Lector must meet training requirements offered by the Parish.
